CHURCHILL TEN WEEKS INTO THE WAR

Churchill addresses the British nation ten weeks into WWII. At the time, November 1939, Churchill was the First Lord of the Admiralty. The speech seems somewhat awkward and overly rhetorical, as if he was still warming to the themes and vocabulary that would later make him revered as one of the greatest orators of his age.
